Vehicle Crime

Vehicle Crime

Good Afternoon Resident

Over the past week, we have seen an increase in vehicle crime within the area mainly on public car parks.

Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team are currently investigating these offences, and you may notice an increased visible police presence over the coming days as we carry out enquiries and provide reassurance within the area.

A number of these incidents have involved offenders gaining access to vehicles that were left unlocked. Whilst officers continue to review CCTV footage and work to identify those responsible, we would like to remind evryone to take a few simple steps to help prevent further offences especially in the run up to Christmas

Ensure your vehicle is locked and secure at all times, even when parked on your driveway.

Remove all valuables from your vehicle, including bags, wallets, mobile phones and other personal belongings.

If you have a vehicle with keyless entry, consider taking additional security measures to protect your keys with a faraday bag.

We are working hard to identify and apprehend those responsible for these offences and appreciate the assistance and vigilance of the local community.

Thank you for your continued support in helping keep our neighbourhood safe

Regards

Lisa
